Brew Babies is one of the best Cape Coral restaurants, enjoy terrazo dining, live jazz, and the freshest seafood!
UPDATE AUGUST 2016: Unfortunately, Brew Babies has closed.
The restaurant is located behind the Holiday Inn in downtown Cape Coral and is popular with locals and visitors.
It's a family affair at this neighborhood bistro, owner Wayne bases his menu on fresh, local seafood and ingredients.
His wife Valerie does the baking, and their children are involved in the kitchen.
You will find them greeting and chatting it up with their dining customers, adding to the friendly ambience. Since it's off the beaten path, you may not know about it, but I think BrewBabies is a real gem!
The outside of the restaurant is very inviting, it looks like an Italian villa, with iron gates leading to a courtyard with cafe tables surrounding a fountain and lush plantings.
On one side of the courtyard is a large dining room and several smaller rooms that are filled with antiques, old wood armoires, and paintings ...... it kind of reminds me of where I'm from, Connecticut.
On the other side is the bar, with comfortable seating in their pub-style lounge area with a red velvet couch.
We had a delicious dinner, starting with escargots in puff pastry for appetizers, I had never had them prepared that way and I thought they were terrific.
For dinner, I had Blackened Snapper topped with Mango Salsa, served with Basmati Rice and Vegetables.
It was perfectly prepared with just the right amount of seasoning. We couldn't resist the Creme Brulee and Raspberry Ice Cream, both so creamy and delicious!
Connoisseurs will appreciate their extensive selection of wines. Everyone will enjoy the palms, flowers, and bubbling fountain.
Brew Babies is open for lunch and dinner from Tuesday - Saturday, 11AM-10PM, with jazz starting at 5PM, call for reservations. Think of them for weddings, showers, birthdays, and parties of all kinds.
