Monarca - Ole! Come on over to the best authentic Mexican food Cape Coral has to offer.
Located where Jimbos used to be on Del Prado Blvd down near Cape Coral Pkwy, the building has been completely redecorated with a colorful Mexican theme and I think it looks fabulous!
The owners come from the Jalisco and Michoacan regions of Mexico, an area known for making the best tequila.
It's also the area where Monarch butterflies migrate to escape the winter cold. Still offering inside and outdoor dining, you have several choices of ambience.
Come by boat or car and sit outside on their terrace, choose the large indoor dining room larger parties, sit in the cozier alcove for a more intimate setting, or sit at the bar.
No matter where you dine, you'll be serenaded by Mariachis who play traditional and contemporary music.
You'll find the usual fare and steaks and seafood ........ of course, they serve fresh tortilla chips, my favorite, and salsa with your meal.
I normally get enchiladas when I go out for Mexican, but I had to order their Garlic Shrimp entree with rice and guacamole, and it was soooooooo good.
I really loved the food, atmosphere, and music ........... come and dine like a monarch!
The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner from 11AM-9PM Sunday - Thursday, and 11AM-10PM on Friday and Saturday.
