Local Dog Show
Cape Coral's local dog show is so much fun for dogs and for dog lovers!
Put on by Cape Coral Parks and Rec, the show is on Saturday, August 14, 2021, starting at 10AM ...... at Rotary Park, near the dog park, butterfly house, and nature center.
Rotary Park is a great place for a dog show, it has a large expanse of green grass and shade trees, pavilions for picnics, a playground, and walking trails.
Enter your dog the day of the show or in advance, and you can sign them up for as many categories as you want. Any size or breed of dog can join in the fun, some of them were doing tricks and some of the dogs were all dressed up!

2. Longest Ears
3. Ugliest Dog
4. Cutest Puppy
5. Dog/owner look-a-like
6. Best Kisser
12:30-2PM
7. Waggiest Tail
8. Sits Longest
9. Best Tricks
10. Saddest Eyes
11. Best in Show
12. People's Choice
Contestants are first paraded around in front of the judges and then the crowd. The video below shows 2 of the contestants:
Awards are given to the top 3 in each category except for Best in Show and People's Choice which have just one winner!

Gift baskets, dog treats, and doggie stairs are some of the awards given. Eat lunch at the barbeque truck and check out the crafts and vendors.
Or, go to The Resort at Marina Village, which is nearby, and have lunch at Silver King Deli, The Nauti Mermaid, or Marker 92.
Dog owners should get to the park at 9AM to register their pets for the contest. So, come to one of the cutest little dog shows in Florida, get over to Rotary Park Cape Coral.
