The Cape Coral Festival of the Arts has great art, food, fun, activities for kids and pets, and people-watching too.
It happens on Saturday and Sunday, January 8-9, 2022 ........ from 10AM-5PM.
Cape Coral Parkway is closed down to make room for over 300 juried artists from all over the country.
You will find paintings, photography, jewelry, pottery, sculpture, clothing, metalwork, and fine crafts.
So, get down to the festival and spend some of that money that you got for Christmas!
It's also a great place to shop for items to decorate your home and give it a tropical flair.
I especially like to look at the jewelry and landscape paintings with tropical themes.
It's so nice to be able to get out and stroll around outside in the middle of January!
Sometimes it can be quite cold out, but it's often warm enough where you don't even need a jacket. Artist's booths are lined up and down the Parkway, and there is also a section of food vendor's booths too.
Shops and galleries that line the street are open as well, and some have sidewalk sales inside or out.
There is music playing, either from restaurants or from musicians who have set up on the street.
We also love to watch the people walking by and especially their pets. Look for the festival's activities for pets, which help to encourage people to bring them and to add to the fun.
