Jimbos

Jimbos has great waterfront dining with 50 different kinds of burgers at their Old Florida style diner and restaurant.

UPDATE JULY 2013:   Jimbo's has closed.   The Mexican restaurant Monarca has opened in its place.  The new owners promise to serve some of Jimbos classic dishes along with a new menu.

They've been around since 1977, serving diner food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

The diner is one of those popular greasy spoons that the locals like to go to, and became even more popular when they introduced their famous burgers.

Diner chic reigns supreme inside the restaurant, which I like every now and then, or you can sit outside where they have a screened-in patio right by the dock.

So, come by boat if you can, and make Jimbo's a part of your day out on the water.

Now, let's get to Jimbo's burgers!  And, you will have a hard time deciding which one to get.  Burgers are 8 oz of char-grilled deliciousness, and made from Angus beef or chicken and served with pickle or choice of French fries, home made coleslaw, potato salad, or macaroni salad.

I got the onion burger, with raw onions, sauteed onions, and onion rings ....... mmmm it was amazing!

How about a Bada Bing Burger?  It has sausage meat, marinara sauce, and fried potatoes on a garlic bun.

The Memphis Burger has peanut butter, bacon, and grilled onions.  The Kamikaze has teriyaki sauce, pineapple, coleslaw, and tomato ........... you get the idea!  There are the typical bacon cheeseburgers on the menu as well plus so many more wacky combinations.
