JC River Boat Cruises are such a blast, you'll enjoy their paddlewheel boat cruise on the Caloosahatchee River!
I've lived in Southwest Florida since 2006 and I'm still surprised by how many fun things there are to do that I hadn't heard of before.
One of those fun things is the dinner and dance cruise with JC Cruises on the Capt JP that leaves from the Yacht Basin in the River District of Ft Myers.
The cruise was arranged by a group in my neighborhood and we had to be at the Yacht Basin at the western end of Hendry Street by 5:30PM to board for our 6PM cruise.
The Capt JP has 3 levels and can accommodate up to 500 passengers. The 2 bottom levels are closed off from the elements and the top level is outside with part of the area covered up.
Each level has tables and chairs set up, with bar and dance floor ....... and lots of windows to see the view!
We pulled out of port promptly at 6PM for our 3-hour cruise and headed south down the river. Ft Myers is looking pretty nice with it's refurbished downtown area!
The ride is very smooth and during the cocktail hour, we enjoyed watching boats go by and the beautiful sunset.
We went under the Midpoint Bridge that connects Ft Myers with Cape Coral ..... and shortly after that, dinner was ready!
Dinner is served buffet style and was quite good. We had roast beef, chicken, mashed potatoes, green beans, salad, and rolls ......... yum!
Dessert was yellow cake with chocolate frosting and sprinkles. Then our DJ started playing dance music and we hit the floor!
We took a break and went to the top deck to cool off and watch the city lights as we went by.
The Capt JP goes almost as far as the Cape Coral Bridge and then turns around back to Ft Myers.
We danced it up until we docked and were sorry that our cruise was over already.
Contact JC Cruises to find out more about their other paddle boat cruises for lunch, holidays, and private charters.
