Palmetto Pine is a Country Club that has one of the nicest of the Cape Coral golf courses.
Located in a residential neighborhood in the SW Cape, golfers can enjoy walking amongst the trees that the club was named after, along with the beautiful homes that surround the course.
We were fortunate to have lived in that neighborhood when we first move to Cape Coral. We rented a home on the other side of the street from homes that backed directly onto the golf greens.
Our neighbors were able to walk around and play with their dog on the greens after hours and felt they had an extended back yard.
One of the good things about living on a golf course is that you don't have neighbors directly behind you and there is more privacy.
The bummer is that your yard may get pelted with golf balls, depending on where you live. The solution is to plant trees and shrubs to screen them out.
PalmettoPine has a fine-dining restaurant and banquet hall for special events, and an active social membership club with lots of fun happenings.
The 18-hole golf course was built in 1969 and portions of it were refurbished in 2004.
It was designed by Arthur Hills and I'm told by neighbors who golf that the layout is very good and the greens are excellent.
Five sets of tees offer varying degrees of challenges as well as lovely scenery and wildlife whether you walk or ride.
The clubhouse is private and very exclusive ........ and drink prices reflect that exclusivity.
Other options for club members include bocce ball leagues, as well as Bridge, Poker, and Mah Jongg groups ........... monthly social events, dinner and dancing evenings, and themed parties.
They have a fully-stocked Pro Shop, and services such as lessons, rentals, and repairs.
This Cape Coral country club has a terrific golf course and fun social calendar in a great location.
