Coral Oaks - Tee up and challenge yourself the whole year round in the beautiful surroundings of this public Cape Coral golf course.
Owned by the city ................. there are 18 holes on the championship, par 72 course designed by Arthur Mills.
You will find 8 lakes and 37 bunkers set in a lovely oak hammock in the NW part of the Cape.
It's a great golf course for all skill levels, all the way from beginner to expert.
What can be a better way to start your Florida day than a round of golf amongst the trees and lakes of Coral Oaks? So sling up your golf clubs, drive on over, grab a golf cart, and get swinging!
They have one of the largest practice ranges in this part of Florida.
The driving range that has 6 courses with both grass and artificial turf and over 300 ft in distance, a TifEagle putting green, and chipping area.
Breakfast and lunch are served at Knickers Pub, a full-service restaurant and bar.
Recently, we went for lunch and enjoyed one of their monthly specials, a bacon pepperjack chicken sandwich with chips, pickle, and slaw ....... yum ....... don't worry if you don't play golf, come on over anyway!
They also serve other kinds of sandwiches, wraps, baskets, burgers, dogs, and their famous BLT.
Or grab snacks and beverages on the course at Chet's Place or from any of the roaming carts.
The Pro Shop sells a large selection of clothing, equipment, accessories, and gift cards that can be used for the shop, food, and golfing.
PGA professionals are available to teach beginners and more seasoned players at the course's golf schools, clinics, or for private lessons.
You will find programs for men, women, and juniors and weekly tournaments for men on Wednesdays, and for women on Thursdays.
A junior program is offered for 6 weeks in the summer for ages 7-17.
The golf course hosts a Pro-am and City Championship Tournament in October as well as other golf and charity events.
For golf in Cape Coral, you can't beat the prices at Coral Oaks, residents get a discount off the posted prices, just bring proof of residency.
Because the prices are so good, the golf course is very busy and it may be hard to get tee times.
My neighbor who plays golf says once you get a tee time, you find that the greens are excellent and well-maintained and the layout is OK.
