JULY 2015: Fletcher's has closed and will reopen with new owners as Duffy's Sports Bar in a few months.
Located on Cape Coral Parkway, this Cape Coral restaurant used to be called The Hangout.
The restaurant has the same owner but a brand new menu and the return of their previous chef.
This new menu emphasizes fine dining dishes made with fresh, local, and seasonal ingredients.
I think you'll find that the food is delicious and I love how it's beautifully presented. I also found the serving staff to be amongst the friendliest I've met. You can sit outside on their terrace in front of the restaurant, on the side where there's an outside bar, or inside for cozy and comfortable dining.
Inside, the dining room resembles a well-appointed pub with lots of wood, ambient lighting, and comfortable booths.
If you prefer a more casual setting, you can sit at the bar or in booths in the lounge area surrounding it.
One of my favorite appetizers is Coconut Shrimp and it's usually served with an apricot or mango sauce, but Fletchers serves theirs with a Raspberry Sauce that was sooooooo good!
For my entree, I ordered Salmon with Mint Chimichurri and Port-Poached Grapes ......... it was amazing!
They still have their incomparable babyback ribs on the new menu.
The ribs are prepared with a double-secret rub and served with a choice of sides.
It's hard to resist the garlic-smashed potatoes, and their coleslaw is very good......... I'm picky about my coleslaw, I don't like it too sweet.
Outside on the terrace, tables are set up around a tiki hut bar, and live music is performed on Friday and Saturday nights.
I will definitely go back again, there are so many things I still want to try on their menu.
The restaurant is open Monday - Thursday: 11:30AM-9PM, Friday: 11:30AM-10PM, Saturday: 12PM-10PM, and Sunday: 12PM-9PM.
