Berts Bar
Berts Bar is number one for Cape Coral nightlife with great entertainment, dancing, good food, and billiards right on the water!
When looking for bars in Cape Coral, you definitely need to check out Berts, they are located on Pine Island Rd just before the bridge onto Matlacha.
The bar is in a typical, rickety-looking, wooden beach shack with a dock so you can arrive by boat if you like.
At the street entrance is the bar section with billiards.
The dining room is at the back with terrific waterviews and additional seating on the outdoor deck.
They are proud to feature local bands that play classic blues, rock, and calypso music ........ you won't find pop or what they call "sissy stuff"!
They have regulars who play certain nights of the week so you can be sure to listen and dance to your favorites.
As for the food, look for nightly specials such as Pizza Night on Mondays, Build-Your-Own Burgers on Tuesdays, All-U-Can-Eat Fish Fry on Wednesdays and Fridays, and Seafood and Shrimp Specials on Thursdays and Saturdays.
Also on the menu are appetizers, soup and chowders, salads, wings, sandwiches, burgers, seafood baskets, and platters.
Berts is one of my favorite places to go dancing, they feature my favorite local band, Deb and the Dynamics on most Thursday nights throughout the year.
There's barely enough room to dance, but that's one of the things I like about Berts ........... you're up close and personal with the band since they play on floor level smack dab in front of the dining tables and chairs.
And, Deb and her bandmates have a lot of fun, joking around and goofing off, with each other and the bars patrons. The video below shows a clip of the band performing:
Then, if you need to take a break and cool off, all you have to do is step outside on the back dock and catch some breezes before heading back in to dance it up again!
