Gator Bites, Issue #034 - Crazy Olive, Dempseys Diner, NE Moorings, Captiva June 16, 2013 |
Hi Have You Been to These Cape Coral Restaurants?!Well, our summer pattern of rain every afternoon has started! We still have plenty of sunshine in the morning, and after the rains pass. In this month's issue of Gator Bites, I feature 3 restaurants, 2 of them new to the scene and 1 of them the longest running restaurant in the Cape. I also have several pages about fun things to do while you're on Captiva.
The Crazy Olive offers great American dining for families, and a bar and nightlife scene for adults with live music every night on their outdoor patio. Located on Pine Island Road, Crazy Olive is centrally located for easy access from anywhere in Cape Coral.
In the same shopping plaza as Crazy Olive and sharing the same owners, is Dempseys Diner. All your diner favorites are served in a 50's retro-style restaurant, with Elvis, records hanging from the ceilings, and polished chrome. Get breakfast, lunch, and dinner all day long!
New England Moorings has been in continuous business in Cape Coral for 26 years, so they must be doing something right! I love the wacky Florida beach tiki decor, the absolutely delicious food, and the generosity and friendliness of Mooring's owner!
Now for the fun stuff, plus Captiva real estate and vacation rentals, and info such as map, weather, and Sitesearch on Come to Captiva: YOLO Watersports
Don't forget to check my boards at Come to SW Florida Pinterest! I keep adding more photos on all the towns, islands, and attractions in the area plus wildlife, beach wedding ideas, beach decor, how to get that beach body, and so much more!
While you're in Florida, you'll have to eat Gator Bites at least once and the beast I've ever had are served at New England Moorings. He makes them from the tail ....... the best part. I goofed and didn't take picture of them, but here's a photo of the shrimp and fried green tomatoes, also very tasty appetizers at Moorings! :)
Best wishes to Grads and Dads! Tammy Remember: Sunset Celebration the first Wednesday of the month.
