Naples Florida

Naples Florida - Beautiful, beautiful Naples is Southwest Florida's jewel, offering fine dining, shopping, gorgeous beaches, and luxurious waterfront homes!

It's located about an hour's drive south of Cape Coral, and you'll want to go as often as you can.

For one thing, Naples boasts the 6th highest per capita income, and the 2nd highest proportion of millionaires per capita.

With all that wealth, the beaches are pristine, the shopping incredible, and the golf courses are plentiful... not to mention street after street of fabulous mansions plus amenities and culture such as parks, art museum, symphony, zoo, and botanical gardens.

Naples Beach

Bordered by white sugar-sand beaches on the Gulf of Mexico, all the natural beauty of the Everglades, and proximity to Marco Island, Naples is a favorite destination to many.

Naples Florida Shopping

I love going to Naples for the shopping!  My favorite place to go is 5th Avenue in the heart of downtown.  Outdoor cafes and shops dot the street, which is lined with buildings constructed in the elegant architecture of 100 years ago.

Naples Beaches

Naples beaches are among the most beautiful in Florida, known for their calm waters and mesmerizing sunsets over the Gulf of Mexico. The city’s commitment to maintaining its natural beauty ensures that visitors can always expect clean, beautiful beaches that stretch for miles. One of the most popular is Naples Beach, which spans the length of the city and is easily accessible from many points, including the iconic Naples Pier – a perfect spot for fishing, dolphin watching, or simply watching the sun dip below the horizon.

Vanderbilt Beach, another favorite, offers a more lively atmosphere with water sports rentals and a nearby park. For a more secluded experience, visit Delnor-Wiggins Pass State Park, where you can enjoy snorkeling, bird watching, and picnicking in a more natural setting.

Naples Outdoor and Nature Activities

Beyond the beaches, Naples Florida is a gateway to outdoor adventures, notably the Everglades National Park, a short drive away. This unique ecosystem offers airboat tours, kayaking, and wildlife viewing, providing close encounters with Florida's native flora and fauna, including alligators and manatees.

The Naples Botanical Garden is another must-visit, showcasing plants and flowers from around the world across its 170-acre site, while the Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary offers a 2.5-mile boardwalk through marsh, wet prairie, and the largest old growth Bald Cypress forest in North America.

Cultural Experiences in Naples

Naples is not just about outdoor activities; it's a city rich in culture and arts. The Naples Art Association, located at the von Liebig Art Center, regularly features exhibitions from local, national, and international artists. The Artis—Naples is the cultural heart of the city, home to the Baker Museum and the Naples Philharmonic, offering a wide range of musical performances, from classical to pop concerts.

For families, the Naples Zoo at Caribbean Gardens combines a botanical garden with a zoo, featuring a range of animals in a lush, tropical setting. The Golisano Children’s Museum of Naples is an interactive, educational experience for younger visitors.

Naples is a haven for foodies, offering a diverse culinary scene that ranges from waterfront dining spots to cozy, inland cafes. Seafood is a standout, with many restaurants serving up fresh catches daily. For a unique experience, dine at one of the many establishments on 5th Avenue South or 3rd Street South, where you can enjoy international cuisines, gourmet dishes, and local specialties in a picturesque setting.
