Gator Bites, Issue #047 - 3 Restaurants to Try!
June 05, 2015
Hi

Morettis, Doc Fords, Matzaluna

Sweet, sweet summertime! And in Cape Coral, that means the return of daily afternoon rain showers or thunderstorms with temps in the 90's and Gulf breezes that keep it from going above 95 degrees.

In this issue, I feature 3 different restaurants in 3 different places! I also have 3 new videos, and a new shop for you to check out.

Morettis is back! They were one of my most favorite restaurants when they were out on Matlacha at what is now The Island Cafe On the Bay.

Morettis was on SE 47th Terrace for a brief period of time and have reopened now on Del Prado Blvd in Cape Coral ........ previous and new fans will happy to know: different location but same great food!

Popular on Ft Myers Beach and Sanibel, Doc Fords has opened its newest location on Captiva.

The name for this chain of restaurants comes from the beloved main character in the series of books written by local author Randy Wayne White. Go to Doc Fords for seafood, steaks, ribs, and more!

Matzaluna, on Sanibel, offers your favorite Italian dishes and wood-fired pizza in a fun Italian market setting. Stop by and give them a try!

Pic 'O the Month

This month, I have a photo of the seafood dish I ate at Matzaluna. It was so good, I've created my own version of it at home so I can enjoy it whenever I want! Go to the page to see what's in the sauce.

Check out these new videos I posted:

A video of the beautiful view, including manatees poking their noses above water briefly, on Island Cafe.

Otters capering on the lawn behind my home on Florida Wildlife.

And, the new playground at Sandoval on Community Clubhouse.

Go to my Cape Coral Shops page to see the new shop, Sunken Treasures.

Festivals and events for the next 2 months:

Kids Fishing Derby

Great American Picnic

Red White and Boom

Mango Mania

My next newsletter will come out the beginning of August.

Happy Happy to Dads and Grads, and Happy 4th of July!

I'd like to recommend my Site Sponsors:

George Patton and Associates is the best realtor! He found me my place, which I absolutely love. Several of my Come-to-Cape-Coral readers have used him, and he's been able to find them homes too.

Archer Airboat Tours offers airboat tours out of Matlacha. You haven't really been to Florida until you've gone airboating, it's so much fun!

Bayview Bed and Breakfast is a delightful waterfront inn on the Cape Coral side of Matlacha. Relax, enjoy nature, go canoeing and kayaking, and check out area boutiques and galleries.

Heart and Soul Therapy Massage and Day Spa offers massage, reiki, and salon services with the best prices in Cape Coral.

Island Cafe on the Bay serves up mouth-watering food, live music, and amazing waterfront views!

For those of you who have read Weird Cape Coral, but haven't found the treasure yet, here are some hints:

Look for 3 places in the ebook where it says "treasure" in blue. Click on it, because each is a link to one of 3 pages on my website.

Each page is a place that I think is a treasure in Cape Coral.

Once you figure out the 3 places, email me from my Contact Me page and I will send you a password to a secret page with more information about buying real estate here in Cape Coral.

Have fun.......if you need help -> Contact Me
