Gator Bites, Issue #048 - Breakfast with Elvis! August 07, 2015 |
Hi Breakfast with Elvis!Wow! We've had unusual amounts of rain lately. Normally it rains every afternoon for 30-60 minutes and then the sun comes out. Well, lately it's been raining in both the morning and afternoon. I feel so bad for anyone on vacation at the beach. :( Instead of sun, sand, and surf, I decided it was a good time to check out a bunch of restaurants ........ this month's issue features 4 of them:
Recently, I went to the Starlight Diner to have breakfast. I was greeted at the door by Elvis and enjoyed his crooning while eating my eggs!
It used to be Dempsey's Diner and, thankfully, the new owners kept the fun 50's diner theme for menu and decor. They serve breakfast all day .... make sure you go. :)
Ceno Grille is the first of the Italian restaurants I went to. I love their signature dish with seafood, pasta, asparagus .......... and a little spice!
The French Press serves up coffee, tea, breakfast, pastries, sandwiches ...... and gelato!
It used to be called Run Agrounds and is located in Cape Harbour, you'll love the views of the marina.
The second Italian restaurant is in Ft Myers on the beautiful palm tree-lined McGregor Blvd in an old refurbished house. Christofs is the place to go for special occasions ...... great food, atmosphere, and service.
Breakfast fit for "The King", Salmon Eggs Benedict at Starlight Diner ....... yum!
