Gator Bites, Issue #049 - Photos, Pizza, and Soap!
October 09, 2015
Hi

Photos, Pizza, and Soap!

Yay, our weather is heading down to degrees in the 80's! There's been a few breaks in the humidity and I've actually turned off the AC and opened the windows for a bit already.

In this issue, I review several restaurants .... there are so many new ones opening up in Cape Coral! And, I built a page about my latest venture .....

For those of you who've been reading Gator Bites for awhile, you've seen me go from job to job in the last few years. It's been hard to transition from stay-at-home homeschooling mom to a member of the workforce here in SWFL.

Low pay, distance, seasonality, crazy hours, age, and lack of experience are some of the issues I've faced. So, I've decided to resurrect a business I'd previously had in Connecticut with my deceased husband. We'd had a successful painted furniture business .... he built me gorgeous furniture out of old barn wood and I painted it. We did well with our furniture, which combined a shabby chic, distressed look with delicate hand-painted flowers.

I'm doing something similar, but throwing in Florida-style touches for a coastal cottage, vintage look! I'm also going to sell my own hand-made beauty products. Keep reading .....

....... but first, I finally revamped my Cape Coral Photos page and added more art photo pages:

Captiva Photos
Sanibel Photos
Fort Myers Beach Photos
Matlacha Photos
Pine Island Photos
Fort Myers Photos

Coastal Island Creations is my new business ....... you'll find beautiful pieces of furniture using chalk paint or hand-rubbed techniques, glued on shells, and hand-painted flowers.

Lather up, scrub down, and butter yourself up with Florida-type ingredients such as coconut oil, mango butter, avocado butter, and sea salt. Beauty never looked and smelled so good ....... citrus, tropical florals, and sea breezy scents take you to the sun, sand, and surf.

I hope you enjoy my creations as much as I do!

Pizza Bella serves yummy pizza and Italian favorites out on Matlacha Island.

Nice Guys Pizza is a fun hipster bar and restaurant on Cape Coral Pkwy, serving pizza, sandwiches, wings, and unique beers.

Cork Soakers draws crowds young and old with really great food tapas-style, with wine bar and live music, at the old Twisted Conch.

For those of you who have read Weird Cape Coral, but haven't found the treasure yet, here are some hints:

Look for 3 places in the ebook where it says "treasure" in blue. Click on it, because each is a link to one of 3 pages on my website.

Each page is a place that I think is a treasure in Cape Coral.

Once you figure out the 3 places, email me from my Contact Me page and I will send you a password to a secret page with more information about buying real estate here in Cape Coral.

Have fun.......if you need help -> Contact Me
