Gator Bites, Issue #025 - Endless Summer September 07, 2012 |
Hi Endless Summer ...... aaahhhhh!I don't know what happened to August! Back when I lived in Connecticut, I always dreaded it when September came, because that meant the weather would start to turn cold. But not here in Cape Coral, we still have 4 months of summer. And, then a month or two of spring, and back to summer again ........ yup, just the way I like it! If you like an endless summer too, you'll definitely want to consider moving to Cape Coral, and you should know about some of the best gated communities here. I finished up my section of gated communities that I recommend in the Cape. I also built pages about Cape Coral golf courses, and started tackling more boating pages ......... Cape Coral marinas, boat ramps, and kayak launches and rentals.
Banyan Trace is a community of condos with pool, tennis courts, bocce, and walking paths surrounded by the naturalized grounds of the old Cape Coral Golf Club. It's located in SE Cape Coral, and is convenient to downtown, Cape Coral Bridge, and Yacht Club Beach. Emerald Cove has lovely single-family homes in the SW Cape, many of them circling around a lake. You can dock your boat and enjoy boating in the system of interior canals attached to the lake. They also have a pool, playground, and grilling area.
Royal Tee is located in Cape Royal, a gated golf course community, and is open to the public. Play their 27-hole course amidst lakes and beautiful homes, it's on the corner of Pine Island and Burnt Store Rds. Palmetto Pine is a semi private golf course that's part of the Palmetto Pine Country Club. It also has lovely grounds with 18 holes and lakes, all surrounded by homes in this SW Cape community. Hunters Run is Cape Coral's executive golf course. Softly rolling hills and ponds are featured on this 9-hole golf course.
Cape Coral is a boater's paradise, we have 400 miles of canals, lakes, rivers, estuaries, and the Gulf of Mexico. We have beautiful beaches on the barrier islands of Sanibel, Captiva and more ....... plus lots of wildlife for nature lovers. I'm trying to finish all my boating pages and have built pages about Cape Coral Boat Ramps and Launches and Cape Coral Marina Information.
Lastly, I built a page about Kayak Launch Sites and Rentals here in the Cape. If you can't afford a boat, get a kayak. We have some terrific spots for kayaking in Cape Coral and surrounding areas. It's peaceful, good exercise, and a great way to enjoy nature!
After you go kayaking, head on over to The Perfect Cup for their amazing chowder. I had kept hearing how good it was and finally had some. It's filling, so you may want to get a cup rather than a bowl. The Perfect Cup gets it's name from the freshly roasted coffee they make, but I would argue that their chowder is the perfect cup, and here's the photo to whet your appetite!
Happy September! Remember: Sunset Celebration the first Wednesday of the month.
