Gator Bites, Issue #028 - Move to Cape Coral! December 07, 2012 |
Hi Still Enjoying Beautiful WeatherDecember in Cape Coral typically has weather in the low 80's, perfect for Christmas shopping or going to the beach ........ or both! This month, I have pages about several more restaurants, a page about moving to the Cape plus canals and churches, a section about snowbirding and retiring, and fun stuff. Starting off with the fun stuff, if you haven't been to Burnt Store Marina yet, it's just beautiful there! You've got to go because they have a waterfront restaurant with tasty food and gorgeous views. Go by boat if you can, but if not, the marina is located on the Cape Coral and Punta Gorda border on, where else, Burnt Store Rd. I also built a page about the Cape Coral Art League, a non-profit studio where you can take art classes, go to their gallery, or shop for art. With all the Christmas shopping you have to do and holiday preparations, take time out for massage at Esterra Spa and Salon, located at Marina Village Resort.
Cape Coral is fortunate to have some really terrific restaurants. I'd been meaning to go to Bistro in Vivo since I had read that our area restaurant reviewer, Jean L'Boeuf, rated it as one of his favorite Cape restaurants. Romance, delicious food, and gracious service are all part of your fine dining experience at this French cafe and restaurant. For more fine dining, go to Table 209, a new restaurant located where the popular Moretti's used to be, offers gourmet dishes for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Try their German Food Nights on Mondays. Woody's Restaurant also offers a fine dining experience, but in a casual sports bar with family restaurant and outdoors tiki hut, all with great food at great prices! In the mood for pizza, well head over to Sals Pizza on Cape Coral Pkwy for pizza, calzones, and your favorite Italian dishes. Cuppa Life is a coffee shop that serves up all kinds of coffees and teas along with breakfast, lunch ....... and open mic nights for adults, and rap nights with a dance competition for teens.
Don't all these things to do and places to go make you want to move to the Cape? I finally built a page about Moving to Cape Coral, with info about utilities, radio stations, zip codes, pest control, lawn and pool care, bus service ...... about pest, pool, lawn care, plus recommendations of various service providers for those and power washing, housecleaning, blinds, carpet, and more! One of the best things about living in Cape Coral is all the waterfront living we have on our canals! Find out more about them on my Cape Coral Canals page. Once you move here, you'll want to know about Cape Coral Churches, where you can grow your faith and meet new friends.
Cape Coral is on of the top 25 places to retire in the US! Low taxes, great value in real estate with low prices, lots of warm weather and sunshine ...... plus some of the best boating and fishing anywhere make our spot in paradise perfect for your Cape Coral Retirement ......... or for Snowbirding. For the next stage in life, if you're interested in finding out more about senior living, check out Cypress Cove. My parents just moved there and we are very pleased with this continuing care retirement community!
I'm sorry, but I can't help myself, this photo is of something that makes me and my parents chuckle. It's the scene we see down the hall of one of the restaurants at Cypress Cove.
Blessings to everyone ..... and blessings to those of us that can still walk easily ....... and if we can't, that we have the means to scoot around, especially in such a lovely place! Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and Happy New Year! Remember: Sunset Celebration the first Wednesday of the month.
