Hi Blue Dog, About Hurricanes, Crab CakesHello everyone! It seems like so much has happened since my last newsletter, Hurricane Irma blew by causing damage in SWFL ......... and season has started with a return to busyness and some coooler weather. I ended up missing Irma, and instead, enjoyed an extended vacation visiting my daughter in Asheville. But, I heard a lot of stories and collected more pertinent information that you may want to read about on my About Hurricanes page. I also went to the Blue Dog, had some amazing Crab Cakes at Fins, and checked out a new church I really like.
Blue Dog Bar and Grill has a fun atmosphere and great seafood for those of you who like to go out to Matlacha. 
If you love Crab Cakes, you've got to go to Fins. They have the best I've ever had, the cakes are mostly crab with very little breading and served with a delicious sauce for dipping ...... made just the way they do in Maryland!
