Gator Bites, Issue #074 - One Old and Two New Favorites
September 30, 2020
Hi

One Old and Two New Favorites

Hello everyone! Florida's governor has enacted Phase Three of the reopening of businesses in our state after the Covid-19 shutdown. Restaurants and bars are allowed to open at 100% capacity now. Some are doing just that, but many are still more comfortable at 50% capacity. Despite the shutdown, I managed to get to some places over the summer.

I hope all of you continue to be healthy and well!

I went to the Cape Harbour Oyster Bar & Grill for the first time to enjoy seafood with a waterfront view of the marina. Since oysters aren't my favorite, I had some tasty Coconut Shrimp, served with their homemade Pineapple Coleslaw. It was all very good, and I plan to go again!

My daughter, Sophie, had been ranting and raving about the ice cream at Zirilli's Chilly Treats because they have a vegan ice cream option made with coconut oil for those of us who have a problem eating dairy products. I finally made it over there with two of my granddaughters and we sampled Vanilla with gummy sharks and Toasted Coconut ...... we all loved our cups and cones!

You'll also find a nice selection of dairy-free Italian Ices and Gelati (not Gelato), it has layers of Ice Cream and Italian Ice.

An old favorite of ours is Capt'n Con's on the very tip of Bokeelia on Pine Island. We love to go for chowder and pie!

I had the Seafood Chowder and my Dad had the Clam Chowder, we shared a salad ..... and then ended our meal with a piece of Coconut Cream Pie mmmmmmmmmmmm.

We then like to take a walk around the pier where we can see Boca Grande and Cayo Costa. If we can, we try to stay for the sunset.

For those of you who have read Weird Cape Coral, but haven't found the treasure yet, here are some hints:

Look for 3 places in the ebook where it says "treasure" in blue. Click on it, because each is a link to one of 3 pages on my website.

Each page is a place that I think is a treasure in Cape Coral.

Once you figure out the 3 places, email me from my Contact Me page and I will send you a password to a secret page with more information about buying real estate here in Cape Coral.

Have fun.......if you need help -> Contact Me
