Gator Bites, Issue #015- Coral Oaks, Cocofest, Farmers Market
November 04, 2011
Hi

Coral Oaks, Cocofest, Farmers Market

We've been having some glorious weather ........ low 80's, lower humidity, and of course, sunshine! It's that time of the year where we can start to open up the windows and turn down the a/c.

I built only 6 new pages this month because I was not allowed on the computer for 2 weeks ...... doctor's orders!

But, I have some great pages you are going to want to see .......

Coral Oaks is Cape Coral's public golf course and owned by the city.

The fees are reasonably low and the setting is just gorgeous amongst a hammock of old oak trees.

I went out during the City Golf Championship and got some great pictures and videos ...... it made me want to take up golf!

Even if you don't golf, you may still want to go to the golf course's Knickers Pub for breakfast or lunch.

Coming up on Nov 11-13, is Cape Coral's Coconut Festival, probably the biggest and, I think, the best festival we have.

Rides, food, vendors, fireworks, local performances, and famous bands are all part of the fun and we just gotta go every year!

This year, Night Ranger will perform, along with The Beatles and Aerosmith tribute bands.

Don't those veggies look luscious?

Well, you've got to get on over the the Cape Coral Farmers Market for fresh and tasty local produce, tropical plants and trees, seafood, artisan breads, natural soaps, crafts, antiques, food, and music.

There's nothing like the flavor of just picked fruit and vegetables, so make sure you put the farmers market on your list of things to do!

Another page I put up is one about Fishermens Village, a funky old Florida style shopping mall and so much more!

Located in Punta Gorda, the next town north of the Cape, you can shop and dine, enjoy entertainment all on the water.

There is even a little museum, and a marina for chartering boats or going on a cruise.

Christmas is just around the corner! Get started on your shopping early by going to NikkiB Photographs and order Cape Coral photos as prints or on mugs, tee shirts, aprons, coasters, puzzles, notecards, and so many other items.

All photographs are taken by my very talented daughter Nicole.

She has beautiful sunsets, beach scenes, landscapes, still lifes, and more in color or black and white.

For the month of November, Nikki is having a sale on the coasters, they make a great gift and you can have any of her photos put on them. I have a set and I love them!

All products are of the highest quality, to order, go to Smugmug.

And if you haven't yet, go to Cape Coral Photos to find out more about Nikki and her photography.

Pic 'O the Month

Before we get to Pic 'O the Month, I have 2 more pages to tell you about.

I'd like to invite you to Vineyard Community Church, my vibrant and very friendly church.

And, a page with my best moving tips learned after moving here from Connecticut.

For Pic 'O the Month, I chose a photo with quite the line-up at the Coral Oaks City Championship:

Have a Happy Thanksgiving!

For those of you who have read Weird Cape Coral, but haven't found the treasure yet, here are some hints:

Look for 3 places in the ebook where it says "treasure" in blue. Click on it, because each is a link to one of 3 pages on my website.

Each page is a place that I think is a treasure in Cape Coral.

Once you figure out the 3 places, email me from my Contact Me page and I will send you a password to a secret page with more information about buying real estate here in Cape Coral.

Have fun.......if you need help, Contact Me.
