Come Sail Away!

The heat is on! But still, it's not as hot as many places up north. We normally don't get hotter than the low 90's, though the humidity does make it feel hotter.

So get out where you can enjoy cooling Gulf breezes. This month we chartered a catamaran and went sailing ...... it was awesome!

Cape Coral Sailing doesn't get any better than a ride on Old Glory, Captain Bud's 30' catamaran.

Charter for a half-day, full-day, sunset, or moonlight cruise.

Wear your bathing suit so you can jump in for a refreshing swim and bring snacks and beverages for probably one of the most pleasant days you can have.

We did the sunset cruise and we had such a nice time, we definitely want to go again someday!

Cape Royal is Cape Coral's only gated golf course community and it features single-family homes on larger lots surrounding a championship 27-hole golf course.

Beautiful landscaping, over 20 lakes, Pro shop and restaurant, but an active HOA with events and parties makes this community a terrific place to live!

It is located at the western end of Pine Island Rd.

Trafalgar Woods features single-family homes on larger lots with mature landscaping, quiet neighborhoods, lakes, and a park with gazebo.

The community is near several schools and is located in SW Cape Coral off of Veterans and Chiquita Blvds.

Heatherwood Lakes is the perfect place for a family with lots of kids!

Single-family homes back up to 5 lakes, and there is a pool, clubhouse, and playground.

It is also located in SW Cape Coral, across the street from Trafalgar Woods.

This is the sunset when we went on our sailing trip. It's not dramatic like so many that we get. The sky was so hazy that day, but there was a soft pink glow that made the water and surrounding islands look enchanting.

Well ........ what happened to summer?! The nice thing about Florida is that we still have summer weather for 4-5 more months. Kids go back to school and we're back to homeschooling this month.
