Gator Bites, Issue #076 - Seafood Tacos and Chowder January 05, 2021 |
Hi Fish Tacos and Chowder!Happy New Year! I have to apologize for sending this newsletter out late, I had way too much going on at the end of the year and just couldn't get it together. I hope everyone had happy holidays and that you've all stayed safe and well. In this issue, I continue my love for dining out by featuring several places: Hurricanes in Cape Coral, Bahama Breeze in Fort Myers, and Lighthouse Waterfront Restaurant in Fort Myers on the way to Fort Myers Beach! Also, I recently started a new business with one of my daughters, we now rent baby gear through BabyQuip! If you need, or you know anyone who needs gear because they are traveling to the Cape Coral area and they're looking for cribs, car seats, strollers,high chairs, etc .... we now offer rentals of this gear. One of my favorite things to eat while dining out, particularly for lunch, are fish tacos. Hurricanes has some really good ones prepared with Grilled Mahi-Mahi in Cajun spices and topped with cabbage, lime, and crema in a corn tortilla. I also like the beachy vibe of their dining room! Next time I'm getting the Coconut Shrimp that my friend ordered!

To celebrate my Dad's birthday, we went to Bahama Breeze on Route 41 in Fort Myers. He was in the mood to go there for chowder and their tropical island atmosphere .... and so, off we went. I also enjoyed some Blackened Mahi Tacos with my Bahamian Seafood Chowder, and then for dessert, we shared a Key Lime Pie drizzled with mango and raspberry syrups. :D

I couldn't see my Dad for Thanksgiving, so we met up later for Lobster Bisque at the Lighthouse Waterfront Restaurant on Summerlin, shortly before going onto the Sanibel Causeway. I almost forgot to take a picture of it before eating it all up lol! We also shared a HUGE salad and some Lobster Risotto .... mmmmmmmm. They've totally remodeled and updated the restaurant, just go and see what they've done. And, go early so you can get either a seat by the window or outside so you can see the views of the marina.
