Viva Cape Coral

Viva Cape Coral

Viva Cape Coral is a festival for everyone to learn about and celebrate Latino culture.

Put on by the Southwest Florida Chamber of Commerce in May, the festival is all about the food, music and dancing, and crafts of Mexico, Cuba, Nicaragua, Puerto Rico, Colombia, Peru, and even Caribbean countries.

Reggae from Jamaica, a teen miss, latin jazz, salsa and zumba dancing, and so much more are all part of the fun and will get your hips shaking.

It's a great way to experience something new and get out to meet new people of diverse backgrounds.

Over 70 vendors lined SW 47th Terrace, with their colorful wares and tasty food.

Cinco de Mayo fair

The Cape Coral Cinco de Mayo fair celebrates Mexico's heritage and national pride as well as all Latin American countries and Hispanic people.

Kids can get in on the fun too, with a bouncy house, laser tag, pony rides, rock-climbing wall, and toy booths.

Cape Coral festivals

I lived in Panama when I was a kid, and we used to go to the ruins of Old Panama City and I remember getting grilled meat on a stick called a "palito".

Mmmmmmmmm .... they were delicious then and they are just as good at this Cape Coral festival ......... and so is the rest of the food where you have all kinds of grilled meat kabobs, roast pork, chicken, tacos, and more!

Cape Coral festival

Have you tasted fried plantains yet, tried cod fritters, or sipped your drink from a pineapple!

No? Well, get your spice on, and get yourself to the festival!
