The Hideaway Resort
The Hideaway Resort is a Cape Coral motel and resort that is just too cute!
It might not be The Ritz, but that's OK, it's got a down-homey feeling, clean rooms and suites, affordability, and fun things to do.
Owners Mark and Linda, go the extra mile to make sure your stay is comfortable and pleasant.
We stayed in a one-bedroom suite on the second floor, with a nice living room and eat-in kitchen that looked out onto the canal out in back.
Our bedroom looked out on the canal too, was bright and sunny, and had a big closet, dresser, and a TV.
The kitchen is a good size for a motel, and well-equipped for cooking.
The bathroom was clean and bright, shower pressure was good.
I took a video of our suite, which you can see below:
Laundry facilities are around at the back of the building, and wifi is available throughout the resort.
It's fun to sit on the front balcony and watch the action in the pool.
By the way, there is music playing in the background, it makes it very pleasant while you swim.
If you prefer, you can hang out at the sandy beach area behind the resort, or on the back deck.
The deck is huge and juts out over the canal ...... there are plenty of lounge chairs in the sun or under the tiki huts.
Want to barbeque? No problem, there is a big grill available near the back deck, where you then sit and enjoy your meal outside, if you like.
The next video shows you what the deck and the back of the resort looks like:
You can also go biking, kayaking, fishing, or use the resort's paddle-boat.
You should've seen us, my daughter and I were the two stooges, trying to coordinate ourselves with the paddle-boat! We didn't get too far, but we had a lot of laughs!
They also have a hammock ....... a great place to read, take a little snooze, or just relax and swing.
We spent such a nice evening on the deck chatting with friends and twinkly lights were reflecting off the water.
There was also a nice breeze, which meant we were not getting chewed up by mosquitoes!
I have to say, my favorite thing to do while on vacation is to lounge by the pool with a good book.
I also like to meet new people who are staying at the hotel or motel. Well, while we were swimming in the pool, we met Evie, a resident of The Hideaway Resort, who is a sweet and funny elderly lady.
Evie is friendly and quite the character with an interesting story to tell about why she lives there.
She has friends from all over the world and you must meet her if you stay.
The last video shows the front of the resort from the pool area:
This Cape Coral hotel is a resort with old-style Florida charm and character where you can make vacation memories or have a pleasant stay while relocating.
