Pickled Parrot - This Cape Coral neighborhood restaurant and bar specializes in grilled island fare at low prices, inspired by food from around the world!
UPDATE SEPTEMBER 2016: The Pickled Parrot has permanently closed.
If you're not in the mood to get dressed up but want great food, this is the place to go.
I had neighbors who went and they loved it, so I went with my oldest daughter to give them a try.
The restaurant is located on Santa Barbara Blvd, a close drive from the central part of the Cape. The large dining room has tables from to back, and the bar is on one side at the front. Tropical and Polynesian decor looks just right for a casual and comfortable feel.
Enjoy their large selection of appetizers for snacks, bar food, or even dinner to share.
Also on the menu are salads, seafood, soups, sandwiches, chops, chicken, burgers, and steaks with ingredients used in Japan, Hawaii, and Polynesia.
A Young and Young at Heart Menu for kids and senior citizens is available for those 12 years and under and 60 and older........ serving the typical dishes kids like, and smaller portions of some of the items on the menu for seniors.
Mmmmm .......... fish, shrimp, lobster, scallops, crab cakes .......... I finally settled on the Curry Coconut Salmon, which was awesome! Sophie had the Teriyaki Chicken.
Included with entrees, you get a choice of 2 sides ........ slaw, fries, beans, broccoli, or rice ........... and a fresh and very tasty side salad.
You get a lot of food for your money, as prices are reasonable in the first place.
The PickledParrot is open for lunch, dinner, and weekend brunch.
The brunch menu looks good with several kinds of Eggs Benedict, omelets, egg dishes, and French Toast .......... served along with their regular lunch menu, and Mimosas and Bloody Mary's.
Hours are Monday - Thursday 12PM-9PM, Friday 12PM-10PM, Saturday 11AM-10PM, Sunday 11PM-8PM.
They have Happy Hour everyday from 4-6PM ....... and added hours from 8-10PM on Friday and Saturday, where you'll find savings on certain beverages and food.
Is it the day of your birthday? Ask them about their complementary birthday dinner and ice cream special. Make sure you have your ID with you!
