Marina Village Cape Coral
Marina Village Cape Coral - We take our second wonderful vacation at this luxury Cape Coral resort with million dollar views, gorgeous rooms, gourmet dining, and lots more.
The video above shows the front of the resort as you drive up to the entrance.
At 18 stories, Marina Village has a high-end feel that extends from their lobby and restaurants, studios and suites, boutiques and spa.
Speaking of the lobby, they have a large aquarium filled with colorful fish and this tubular fountain that I still don't understand how it works, but you've got to see it.
It's the perfect location for weddings, parties, getaways, and in our case, a staycation.
This time we stayed in a 2-bedroom suite and oh my goodness, it was so awesome.
Beautifully furnished in a comfortable and contemporary style, and very spacious, we all decided we want to live there!
You first enter into an open kitchen, living, and dining room that looks out onto a large balcony.
The huge master bedroom had a king bed, access to the lanai, and lots of closet space.
The bathroom was to die for with tile and marble, the shower had a rain shower head - I always wanted to try one of those.
I could even see out to the river while I was showering, which you can see in the video of our suite, below:
When we stayed in the studio for our first vacation at Marina Village Cape Coral and the Preserve out by Rotary Park was our view, but this time, we had amazing views of the Caloosahatchee River.
We could see Ft Myers, Sanibel, the Sanibel Causeway, and beyond to the Gulf of Mexico.
The girls had the other bedroom which had 2 double beds and access to the balcony.
Off of their bedroom was the other bathroom, and laundry facilities ........ all in 1338 sq ft.
Now, bear in mind when you make your reservation that river views are for the lower floors of the resort, and Sanibel views are for the upper floors.
The waterfront pool is fantastic and since it's right next to the resort's restaurants, grab a refreshing drink, listen to the music, and relax in the lounge chairs.
Here's a video of the pool:
Of course, we went to the pool everyday and to the hot tub at night!
It is so relaxing to look at the water views and hear the fountains there while lounging and catching a tan.
While at the pool, make sure you ask their friendly pool attendant Christine for anything you might need.
You can buy sun tan lotion, food, and drinks from her.
If you want, your kids can attend the kiddie camp next to the pool and make crafts while you enjoy a swim.
Then we shopped at the boutiques and checked out the art galleries on the Promenade.
I just love staying at Marina Village Cape Coral is so lucky to have such a nice resort!
We then had lunch at Silver King Deli where you can get coffee, sandwiches and yummy gelato.
We ate amazing dinners at the resort's two restaurants, Marker 92 and The Nauti Mermaid.
Even though both restaurants have their own menu, you can order from either one.
For dinner one night at Marker 92, I had their most amazing Marker 92 Salad with grilled grouper.
It comes with baby greens, olives, tomatoes, hearts of palm, pecans, and a scrumptious lime citrus dressing.
You will find tasty seafood, steaks, burgers, and sandwiches on their Nouvelle American cuisine menu.
The next night we went to The Nauti Mermaid and Loaded Wood-Fired Flat Bread Pizza.
It was just the way I like it ...... thin crust, gooey cheese, and loaded with pepperoni, sausage, peppers, onions, and mushrooms.
Even though the Marker 92 dining room is really nice, we try to sit outside whenever possible, especially when there's live music on the weekends.
And then there's the Sunday brunch, I love their brunch!
There is a large selection of breakfast and lunch entrees, and also an omelet station ....... plus waffle, carved meat, and dessert stations.
We started out with some fresh fruit, pastries, Eggs Benedict, bacon and eggs.
Then we moved to the lunch items ........ ham from the carving station, salmon, grilled chicken, shrimp with cocktail sauce, and a sample of pizza.
For dessert, we had the best Belgian Waffles with strawberries and whipped cream, and a piece of key lime cheesecake ......... ooooooooh, we got so stuffed!
If you're here the second Tuesday of the month during season, you should go to the resort's Craft and Cuisine cooking demos.
All in all, we had a Marina Village Cape Coral vacation extraordinaire!
Although we didn't go this time, there are so many amenities at the resort: you can take a free boat taxi to Ft Myers Beach, go on dolphin and sunset cruises, rent kayaks, use the resort's bikes and use nearby tennis courts, bocce ball, and more pools at Tarpon Point.
Our rooms are also available as a deluxe suite, with 2 master bedrooms that have a king bed in each room.
