Located on the Peace River, the mall is painted in all kinds of colors and is reminiscent of the Old Florida wooden cracker houses.
A series of buildings connect shops and restaurants, are open to the fresh air, but covered with a roof to protect you from the weather.
With 5 restaurants to choose from, you can't go wrong if you decide to eat at Fishermens Village.
I think the waterfront dining is absolutely fantastic, most of the restaurants have a view of the river.
Comfortable and casual dining is available with indoor and out door seating.
You will find restaurants that include everything from a coffee shop, ice cream, Italian food, to steaks and seafood.
While sitting at and looking at the water, I decided I was in the mood for a seafood croissant sandwich that was pretty darn delicious.
Several women's boutiques sell Florida lifestyle clothing, shoes, and bags .............. for casual occasions, dressing up, and of course, the beach.
You will also find menswear, bath shops, pet accessories, several gift stores, home decor, glass, paintings and prints, jewelry, toys, boating supplies, and a military heritage museum.
Vendors selling crafts have booths and tables up and down the middle of the mall.
Open Mic Night, Country Line Dancing Lessons, holiday Fests, Pet Yappy Hours, and live music are some of the events at the center stage.
You can also rent boats and kayaks, learn to sail, or buy yachts from the marina .......... charter fishing trips, eco tours, or sightseeing and island cruises.
They have festive Lighted Canal Cruises at Christmas time and Fishermens Village is decorated to the hilt for the holidays with its Festival of Lights.
The award-winning yacht basin has 111 public slips, 37 of them are available for temporary free docking for a day at the mall, and the rest for long-term use.
Two-bedroom vacation villa rentals, which are located on the second floor, are available for daily and weekly rentals.
They have lovely views of the water with balconies facing the water and looking down on the center of the mall.
Each sleeps 6, and has a full kitchen and balcony. Vacation rental amenities include a heated pool, tennis, shuffleboard area, a place to barbeque and picnic, bikes, free wireless internet, cable, and laundry.
