One of my favorite shops is Carried Away, located in Cape Harbour. Tony stocks all kinds of bags, totes, and purses, as well as other gift items. The other place we like to shop for beach bags are the shops in Matlacha. There are several shops and galleries, and this is the place to buy unique and one-of-a-kind bags. Frills has such cute embroidered and sequined bags from India, you will be styling at the beach and even around town!
Check out Silver King Deli at Marina Village Resort, which carries beach gear, and Islands, also at Cape Harbour. Of course, the Cape has department stores like Target, Bealls, Kohls, Belks, and JC Penneys, where you can also shop for beach bags. Another place to go is Ft Myers Beach, there are lots of beach shops in the center of town right off the bridge. Further south from Ft Myers are several huge malls off of highway I-75: Gulf Coast, Miromar Outlets, and Coconut Point. Naples has several attractive shopping areas. Up in the other direction is Fishermans Village in Punta Gorda. It has lots of neat shops in an Old Florida style open-air building right on the water.
