Cape Coral Oktoberfest - Come to Florida's biggest Oktoberfest for the food, beer, music, dancing, rides, crafts, and tons of fun!
Located at the Cape Coral German American Club, the festival takes place over 2 weekends in October.
Several live bands from Germany, Austria, or the United States are featured on 3 stages and 2 dance floors.
So come on out October 21-23 and 28-30, 2016 and get your lederhosen and your oompapa on so you can groove to the accordion music! This Cape Coral festival is open both weekends from 4PM-Midnight on Friday, Noon-Midnight on Saturday, and finally, Noon-9PM on Sunday.
There's plenty of free parking, 2 entrances, and you'll be happy to know that there are lots of shade trees in the beer garden area.
Bands play non-stop so there's lots of dancing, singing, and celebrating under the big tent or at the outdoor Biergarten.
Now for the food ........ I think Oktoberfest food is the best! I was fortunate enough to have lived in Austria when I was a teenager and where I was introduced to German and Austrian cuisine.
Scattered about the grounds are food booths that sell bratwurst, sausage platters, roasted chicken, leberkaese, and schweinhaxe with their famous potato pancakes and applesauce.
Buy tickets for your food and beverages at one of the ticket booths around the fairgrounds, and then use the tickets at the food booths.
Or, if you prefer, you can sit down for a meal in the hall. On that menu you'll find schnitzel and sauerbraten dinners with dumplings or noodles, and red cabbage ........ das ist sehr gut!
Also served is imported German beer, domestic beer, and German wine and spirits.
Kids will enjoy the rides, bounce houses, balloon art, Ferris wheel, and kiddie train.
Get started on your Christmas shopping early by checking out the German crafts and clothing at the festival.
Shop for German crafts and products such as beer steins, lace doilies, dirndls, and lots more. Anybody need any lederhosen?!
They have prize drawings everyday, and 2 of the prizes include a trip to Germany and a trip to Key West.
