Cape Coral Fishing Charters - While you're in Cape Coral, you must hire a charter because we have some of the best fishing in the world!
I highly recommend hiring Captain Gary Jenkins of Mariner Enterprises.
He's a Southwest Florida fishing guide, who has a lot of experience as a charter captain and as a tournament angler.
We had the good fortune to go flats fishing, also called shallow water fishing, for the first time with Captain Gary and had a blast!
Gary offers flats, in shore, near shore, and tarpon fishing. He also does custom charters that include sightseeing, shelling, and lunch trips for 4,6, or 8 hours to round out your Cape Coral boating and fishing fun.
Your charter includes bait, tackle, rods, reels, fishing licenses, ice, and drinks.
Plan for an early start and bring sunscreen, sunglasses, hat, camera, snacks, and beverages of your choice that you can put in the boat's cooler.
Wear shoes that can get wet, and you may also want to bring rain gear.
Bear in mind that there is no bathroom ....... but there is a bucket for such purposes.
If you don't know how to fish, no problem, Gary will teach you how to cast, how to watch the bobber, and when to reel in.
I was so proud of myself, I caught a Spanish Mackerel. We also caught sea trout, ladyfish, and a puffer fish.
We caught some fish to use as bait and let the rest go, we also experimented with different kinds of bait, real shrimp and plastic shrimp seemed to work equally as well.
We fished near Sanibel and Pine Island and we got to see dolphins ....... watch this video to see us catching a fish:
Captain Gary operates out of Cape Harbour Marina in Cape Coral, or Sanibel Harbour Resort, which is in Ft Myers and just before you head over the Sanibel Causeway Bridge.
He has a new boat and it's a beauty, a 22' Tournament Pathfinder Bay.
To charter a fishing trip contact Gary, it's so easy, all you have to do is fill out the form below:
Gary's Southwest Florida fishing charters are competitively priced, most charters run at about $100/hour.
Rates start at $350 for 4 hours, 2 people ........ so go fishing ......... I can't wait till our next trip!
