Cape Coral Festival of the Arts

The Cape Coral Festival of the Arts has great art, food, fun, activities for kids and pets, and people-watching too.It happens on a Saturday and Sunday early in January from 10AM-5PM. Cape Coral Parkway is closed down to make room for over 300 juried artists from all over the country.

You will find paintings, photography, jewelry, pottery, sculpture, clothing, metalwork, and fine crafts. So, get down to the festival and spend some of that money you got for Christmas! It's also a great place to shop for items to decorate your home and give it a tropical flair.
I especially like to look at the jewelry and landscape paintings with tropical themes. It's so nice to be able to get out and stroll around outside in the middle of January! Sometimes it can be quite cold out, but it is often warm enough where you don't even need a jacket. Artist's booths are lined up and down the Parkway, and there is also a section of food vendor's booths too. The shops and galleries that line the street are open as well, and some of them have sidewalk sales or promotions in the stores. There is music playing, either from restaurants or from musicians who have set up on the street.

We also love to watch the people walking by and especially their pets. There are also activities for pets to encourage people to bring them and to add to the fun. For more information, you can go to the
