Barkley Park and Calypso Park
Barkley Park and Calypso Park are two great reasons to move to Sandoval Cape Coral.
Sandoval is one of the most desirable places to live in Cape Coral.
It's a gated community with condo, villa, and single-family home neighborhoods in a centralized location with many terrific amenities for it's residents.
Amongst 22 lakes and lovely homes is the beautifully landscaped Sandoval Blvd, which has a walking path that leads from end of the community to the other.
Both parks are next to each other right off of the boulevard.
Barkly Park is an unleashed dog park and there are 2 fenced-in areas, one for big dogs and the other for small dogs.
Dogs are free to run and play without a leash, the park is large enough to throw a ball or frisbee.
There are benches for owners to sit and socialize, it's a great way to meet neighbors.
For dogs, there is a little pool, drinking bowl, and hose for cooling off, and dog waste stations to keep the park clean.
To get an idea, here's a video of the park and my furry friend Chewie:
When you're done at Barkley, grab your pet take a walk on over to Calypso Park.
It's a beautiful spot, surrounded on three sides by one of the community's lakes.
It has a walking path with flowers, ornamental grasses, and jutting out into the lake is a fishing pier.
Tiki huts dot the park and most of them have picnic benches and grills.
There's plenty of room to kick a ball, play tag, or set up some badminton.
I shot this panoramic video of the park:
As you can see, it's a super location for picnics and barbeques, especially for larger parties ......... or just to take a stroll to soak up some sun or to see the sunset.
